Living Peace is a member of the Church of the Brethren denomination, a historic peace church with Anabaptist and Radical Pietist roots. Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. and follows a variety of discussion topics, biblical texts, and books. Our worship service begins at 10:45 a.m.
In the fall of 2017, Living Peace created blackboards with the prompt, “Before I die, I want to…” for the community to engage with. This project was inspired by the work of Candy Chang,
who first erected a Before I Die board in New Orleans.
Since then, the board has been filled many times and has become a place of self-expression, confession, and dialogue in our community. We are very pleased that it has taken on a life of its own.
